The Chaplet (or Rosary) that the Mother of God gave to Sister Amalia had 49 white beads, divided into groups of 7, by seven equally white beads. It is, therefore, similar to the Chaplet of the Sorrows of Mary, although of a different color. It also had three final beads and a medal with the image of Our Lady of Tears – on one side – and the image of Jesus Bound – on the other side. The medal is an essential part of this Chaplet, and must be exactly like the one that the Blessed Virgin Mary showed to Sister Amalia in Campinas on April 8, 1930.
"My daughter, whatever people will beg Me
for the sake of the tears of My Mother,
I shall lovingly grant them."
Jesus Bound (Campinas, 08-11-1929)
"This is the Chaplet of My Tears […].
Through this Chaplet the devil will be defeated
and the power of hell destroyed."
Our Lady of Tears (Campinas, 08-03-1930)
Opening prayer:
Here we are at Your feet, O sweetest Crucified Jesus, to offer You the tears of Her who, with so much love, accompanied You on the sorrowful way of Calvary. O good Master, grant that we may learn from the lessons they teach us, so that, on Earth, fulfilling Your Most Holy Will, we may one day praise You in Heaven for all eternity.
On the white beads (which separate the groups of 7 beads):
Behold, O Jesus, these are the tears of Her who loved You most on Earth, and who loves You most in Heaven
On the white beads (groups of 7 beads):
My Jesus, hear our prayers, through the Tears of Your Most Holy Mother.
Finally, it is repeated three times, on the three final white beads:
Behold, O Jesus, these are the tears of Her who loved You most on Earth, and who loves You most in Heaven.
Final prayer:
Most Holy Virgin and Mother of Sorrows, we ask You to join Your prayers to ours, so that Jesus, Your Divine Son, to whom we address ourselves in the name of Your Motherly tears, may hear our prayers and grant us, with the graces we desire, the crown of eternal life. Amen.
Final aspirations to be prayed while contemplating and kissing the medal:
– By Your divine meekness, O Jesus Bound, save the world from the error which threatens it!
– O Most Sorrowful Virgin, Your Tears have overthrown the infernal empire!
Let it be printed – with 50 days of indulgence each time the prayers and aspirations mentioned above are repeated. † F., Diocesan Bishop
